عيد الام هو احد واهم المناسبات الاسريه الهامة التى تقدر وتكرم الامهات فى كل بيت وعائله , حيث ان الام هى أساس كل اسرة وهى المعلم الاول لاطفالها والقدوة ولها التأثير الاكبر فى تربيه وتعليم اولادها واخراج أجيال نافعة للمجتمع , اختلف موعد الاحتفال بعيد الام من بلد الى اخر ولكن الجميع فى النهايه اتفق على تكريم الامهات فى يوم عيد خاص بهم من كل عام , وسنتعرف اليوم على بدايه الاحتفال واصل التسميه ومن اصحاب فكرة الاحتفال بعيد الام .

ويختلف الاحتفال بعيد الام من دوله الى اخرى فمثلا فى النرويج يحتفل بعيد الام فى يوم 2 فبراير وفى جنوب افريقيا فى يوم 1 مايو وفى الارجنتين فى يوم 3 اكتوبر وفى المنطقة العربيه يحتفل به فى يوم 21 مارس من كل عام .
